About the Role

Adani Power is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Stores department in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing the procurement and inventory of Electrical, C&I, and Mechanical items. The position involves strategic planning, operational execution, financial support, and people development, all while ensuring compliance with company standards and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive vendor database for Electrical and C&I items.
  • Identify items suitable for Annual Rate Contracts for Electrical and C&I categories.
  • Drive indigenization of spares for Electrical and C&I items through reverse engineering or sourcing alternatives from Indian or non-Chinese manufacturers.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Negotiate and secure optimal costs for Mechanical items using e-platforms like reverse and forward auctions.
  • Manage the entire procurement cycle for Mechanical items, including floating inquiries, vendor follow-ups, offer receipt, and price comparative statement preparation.
  • Prepare necessary internal documentation for approvals, such as No-Financial Approvals (NFAs) and Change Order Proposals.
  • Ensure timely issuance of orders for Mechanical items and track the delivery of Electrical/C&I items.
  • Facilitate smooth plant operations through effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to company standards including IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), Energy Management System (EnMS), and 5S principles.
  • Oversee the digitization of important documents.
  • Address and resolve any commercial issues that may arise.
  • Support financial negotiations to achieve cost efficiencies for Electrical/C&I items.
  • Prepare and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports.
  • Contribute to team development and individual growth through training.
  • Ensure compliance with CHETNA guidelines and implement Contract Health & Safety Management during the order awarding process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical and C&I.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Additional Information

  • Compliance with IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001), EnMS, and 5S is mandatory.
  • Adherence to CHETNA guidelines and Contract Health & Safety Management is required.
  • Focus on indigenization and cost optimization through negotiation and e-platforms.
