Role Overview
As a Bellperson at Fairmont Palliser, you will help deliver an elevated luxury experience for guests, clients, and colleagues. This position reports to the Chief Concierge and is suited to someone who can contribute quickly to service quality while consistently aiming to surpass guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Your work will center on guest care, lobby presentation, and smooth coordination of arrival and departure services.
- Provide warm, professional service and help maintain positive working relationships across the team.
- Stay efficient and productive while consistently supporting a high standard of guest satisfaction.
- Follow the hotel’s service standards and operational expectations at all times.
- Respond to guest questions about Calgary, the hotel, and available facilities or services.
- Handle guest luggage and related assistance needs.
- Support the smooth timing and execution of tour arrivals and departures.
- Step in with valet-related assistance when needed.
- Keep the lobby presentation polished, inviting, and aligned with the hotel’s brand.
- Pass key information to the incoming shift to ensure continuity of service and task completion.
- Follow health, safety, emergency, fire, accident, and security procedures diligently.
- Cover Night Bellperson duties when required.
- Assist guests with Boulevard Level services.
Qualifications
The role calls for strong guest-service instincts, physical capability, and readiness to work variable shifts.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license, a driving abstract, and the ability to operate a standard transmission vehicle are required.
- Prior experience in guest services is preferred.
- You must be in very good physical condition and able to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of Calgary and hotel operations is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to work night shifts is required.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality is an asset.
- A strong commitment to exceptional guest service is essential.
- You should be able to embody the Fairmont brand promise and deliver luxury-level interactions.
