Role overview
SABAI Group is a Dubai-based international trading business focused on food and beverage commodities. The company has recently entered the duty-free segment, with a strong emphasis on branded alcoholic drinks including beer, spirits, and wine. It is looking for a motivated Trader who can drive revenue, strengthen partnerships, and perform well in a fast-moving global environment.
What you will do
- Take ownership of deal pipelines and move opportunities through to closure.
- Develop and sustain relationships with suppliers and buyers across international markets.
- Reach out to prospects through cold calls, email campaigns, and LinkedIn to bring new partners on board.
- Negotiate pricing, payment conditions, and delivery arrangements to secure strong outcomes.
- Review cost structures, margin levels, and pricing movements to improve profitability.
- Oversee purchasing and sales activity from start to finish.
- Keep the CRM updated with accurate deal progress and records of all actions taken.
- Resolve post-sale concerns quickly while protecting long-term client relationships.
- Consistently deliver against revenue and profit targets quarter after quarter.
Candidate profile
- 2 to 5 years of experience in import/export trading, sales, business development, or international trade; experience in FMCG or duty-free business is an advantage.
- Comfortable working with figures, including margins, pricing, and payment terms.
- Energetic, proactive, and highly accountable in day-to-day work.
- Strong negotiator with the ability to build trust and secure favourable agreements.
- Professional fluency in English, both spoken and written; other languages are beneficial.
- Well organised, detail-focused, and reliable with follow-ups.
- Able to manage several deals at once without losing track of details.
- Good at networking and making a strong impression quickly.
