About the Role

ACCIONA is seeking a highly capable Bid Manager in Auckland, New Zealand, to lead the creation of competitive and high-quality tenders. This pivotal role is responsible for driving bid strategy, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring commercially sound, compliant submissions that align with ACCIONA's objectives for sustainability, innovation, and growth. You will play a key role in securing major projects across New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the entire bid delivery process, from Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) stages through to final submission, ensuring all proposals are of high quality, compliant, and competitive, while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Develop effective bid strategies, clearly defining win themes, value propositions, and client-centric messaging that resonate with evaluation criteria and market expectations.
  • Coordinate and align diverse stakeholders, including technical, commercial, and leadership teams, to produce cohesive and impactful bid submissions.
  • Foster strategic client relationships, influence procurement strategies, and proactively position bids to meet future client needs and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Manage commercial aspects and risks, integrating pricing, cost modeling, and mitigation strategies to ensure proposals offer value for money and are commercially viable.
  • Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, procurement regulations, and internal authorization limits by preparing and managing necessary approval documentation.
  • Champion continuous improvement in bid processes by enhancing methodologies, tools, and frameworks to boost efficiency, quality, and consistency in all submissions.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Possess at least 5 years of experience in bid management, proposal development, project coordination, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrate the ability to craft clear, persuasive, and client-focused submission documents, including executive summaries.
  • Exhibit a solid understanding of compliance requirements, bid governance protocols, and structured submission processes like EOIs and RFPs.
  • Show an understanding of pricing strategies, cost structures, risk analysis, and the development of commercially sound solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex timelines, aligning contributions from multiple parties, and achieving objectives under pressure.
