Role overview
Elements Casino Chilliwack is seeking a Bingo Coordinator to support bingo operations and guest service at its Chilliwack location. Reporting to the Gaming Manager, this position focuses on delivering a welcoming guest experience while handling cash, processing jackpots, maintaining accurate records, and supporting a safe and organized gaming environment.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, provide timely assistance, and deliver service in a positive and professional manner.
- Account for issued floats, assets, and inventory, and confirm that all items are correct and secure.
- Prepare for bingo sessions by reconciling paper inventory, arranging and issuing floats, distributing cards, and completing other setup tasks.
- Use key operational tools and computerized systems efficiently.
- Accurately calculate and enter game payouts into the system.
- Safeguard the bingo cage and control access to guest service areas, inventory, and assets.
- Handle jackpot payments along with the required backup documentation.
- Support guest questions, card checks, sales, and inventory reconciliation while following cash-handling rules, internal controls, company procedures, and relevant lottery policies.
- Inspect equipment, terminals, monitors, and related devices before each session to confirm they are working properly.
- Stay aware of the session schedule, staffing, formats, promotions, and special offers.
- Maintain sufficient stock of cage supplies, inventory, and related products.
- Complete deposits, data entry, session paperwork, and required reports.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests to help ensure an enjoyable gaming experience.
- Work cooperatively with teammates and contribute to a productive, respectful, and supportive workplace.
- Follow licensing requirements, health and safety rules, and other applicable regulations.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of cash-handling experience in a guest service role.
- Bingo calling experience is considered an advantage.
- Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Working knowledge of computers and the ability to use adding machines, currency counters, and similar equipment.
- Ability to obtain a Gaming Worker licence.
- Ability to meet guest expectations through prompt, effective, service-focused communication.
- Professional presentation, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative attitude.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational abilities.
- Dependable, reliable, and committed to service excellence.
- SIR certification.
Work environment
This role is based in a casino setting and involves extended periods of standing and walking, along with non-traditional working hours.
Compensation
The posted pay range is CAD 17.90 to CAD 18.05 per hour, with a midpoint of CAD 18.05.
