Job description
Company overview
Msitu World Music is a growing organization centered on music and live entertainment. The team connects artists with audiences through performances, events, and collaborations, and operates across a range of music styles and cultural settings from Berlin, Germany. The company places importance on creativity, professionalism, and solid working relationships with artists, venues, and other partners. It also aims to create a welcoming and collaborative workplace where initiative is encouraged.
Role overview
This full-time Booking Agent position is based in Berlin with a hybrid setup, allowing part of the work to be done from home. The role is focused on developing and managing artists’ performance schedules, finding new opportunities with venues, festivals, and partners, and ensuring bookings are handled smoothly from first contact through to final coordination.
What you will do
In this role, you will use booking tools to organize show schedules, coordinate event-related logistics, and support contract preparation and review. You will keep records accurate and up to date, strengthen relationships with venues, promoters, and agents, and negotiate terms that work for both artists and partners. The position also includes answering inquiries, handling client and customer communication, and working with internal teams on promotions and longer-term planning.
Qualifications
Candidates should bring strong communication abilities, both in writing and speaking, along with experience using booking or scheduling systems to manage calendars, agreements, and logistics. Prior customer service exposure is useful, especially where quick and professional responses are important. Sales and negotiation skills are needed to secure good terms and identify new opportunities. Experience in music, entertainment, or events is a strong advantage, as are excellent organizational skills, time management, and careful attention to detail. Applicants should be comfortable working in a hybrid setting and be able to manage their work independently when remote. Professional English fluency is required, and German language ability is an added benefit.
