Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter position based in Leinster, Ireland. The role centres on first-fix and second-fix carpentry, including structural framing, installation of key timber components, and finishing work such as doors, skirting, architraves, and flooring.

Key Duties

  • Interpret construction drawings and work out measurements accurately.
  • Cut, shape, assemble, and install timber and related materials.
  • Carry out first-fix and second-fix carpentry to a high standard.
  • Complete finish carpentry tasks such as fitting doors, skirting, architraves, and flooring.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Work independently or with colleagues to keep projects on schedule.
  • Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Keep the work area tidy and support the overall quality of project delivery.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have solid practical carpentry experience, with knowledge of structural and general carpentry work. Precision in finish carpentry is important, along with confidence using the tools normally required on site. A strong eye for detail, good problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship are essential. The role also requires a safety-first approach, proper PPE usage, reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work well alone or as part of a team.

Additional Information

A full driving licence and access to transport would be an advantage. Experience on commercial or residential construction projects is also beneficial.
