Job overview
This role focuses on creating a strong first and last impression for store visitors. The Cart Attendant helps keep the entrance and parking area organized by collecting carts, using equipment to bring them from the lot back into the store, and keeping shopping carts clean and sanitary. A positive attitude is important, including while working in changing weather conditions.
Pay and compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $15 to $28. The actual rate will be at least the minimum wage required for the location. In addition to base pay, the role may include annual or quarterly performance incentives. Depending on schedule, facility, season, or specific duties, premium pay of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may also apply, and more than one premium can be earned when the criteria are met.

Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas.
- Use the required equipment to transport carts from outside back into the store.
- Keep carts clean and maintain sanitary conditions.
- Help ensure customers have a positive experience when arriving at and leaving the store.
- Work safely and maintain a helpful, upbeat approach in all weather conditions.
