Job description
Role Overview
This position plays an important part in shaping and delivering category strategies that improve cost performance, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support the organization’s long-term growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in building and implementing category plans that support broader business goals.
- Review spend data and market trends to uncover opportunities for savings and added value.
- Turn analytical findings into practical sourcing approaches and procurement actions.
- Handle sourcing activities from end to end, including RFx processes, supplier assessment, negotiation, and contract completion.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify needs and challenge demand where appropriate.
- Support supplier management by monitoring performance and maintaining strong working relationships.
- Contribute to initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and standardizing processes.
- Help ensure all procurement work follows internal policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Prepare reports and dashboards that measure category results and savings achieved.
Requirements
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a similar discipline.
