Category Management

Role Overview

This position plays an important part in shaping and delivering category strategies that improve cost performance, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support the organization’s long-term growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and implementing category plans that support broader business goals.
• Review spend data and market trends to uncover opportunities for savings and added value.
• Turn analytical findings into practical sourcing approaches and procurement actions.
• Handle sourcing activities from end to end, including RFx processes, supplier assessment, negotiation, and contract completion.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify needs and challenge demand where appropriate.
• Support supplier management by monitoring performance and maintaining strong working relationships.
• Contribute to initiatives focused on reducing costs, improving efficiency, and standardizing processes.
• Help ensure all procurement work follows internal policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
• Prepare reports and dashboards that measure category results and savings achieved.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a similar discipline.
