Role Overview

This position is for a Cluster Validation professional in Chennai, responsible for testing and validating instrument cluster functionality in automotive environments. The role involves both manual and automated verification across lab and vehicle setups, along with defect analysis, reporting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check instrument cluster features such as tell-tales, gauges, warning alerts, chimes, driver information displays, and HMI behavior.
  • Develop, review, and run functional, regression, smoke, endurance, and performance test cases.
  • Carry out manual and automated validation on HIL/bench systems as well as in-vehicle setups.
  • Inspect CAN logs, isolate issues, and support root cause analysis.
  • Log, monitor, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tracking tools.
  • Verify CAN/UDS communication and diagnostic functionality.
  • Work closely with software engineers, system teams, and customers to close issues.
  • Compile test reports and maintain alignment with project quality expectations.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong background in instrument cluster validation.
  • Practical experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL, CAN protocol, and UDS diagnostics.
  • Working knowledge of automotive communication standards such as CAN and LIN.
  • Ability to script test automation using Python or CAPL.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, DOORS, Confluence, and requirements traceability practices.
  • Understanding of the Automotive V-Model, ASPICE, and Agile delivery methods.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Eligibility

Applicants must hold a B.Tech or B.E. degree in any specialization.
