Job description

Role overview

Clarion Housing Group is hiring a Community Caretaker to support its Neighbourhoods team in Bristol at Bush Court. This permanent role is a chance to contribute to the upkeep, safety, and overall presentation of residential estates while representing the organisation visibly within the local community.

Working pattern and location

The position is based in Bristol, specifically at Bush Court, and involves a 36-hour working week. Flexible working options may be considered. Although the base is Bush Court, you should be prepared to cover other estates across the Bristol area and travel throughout the region as needed.

What the role involves

In this role, you will carry out caretaking and cleaning duties, report repair issues, and remove bulky waste items from communal areas on estates. You will help maintain cleanliness, security, and a safe environment for residents while acting as a visible and approachable representative for Clarion in the neighbourhood.

Key conditions and requirements

You must be able to travel around sites across Bristol and across the wider region when required. A full, valid manual UK driving licence is essential because you may need to drive company vehicles for work purposes only. This role is also subject to a Basic Criminal Record Check clearance.

Additional information

The closing date for applications is Monday 29 June 2026 at midnight. The vacancy may close earlier than advertised without notice. Clarion Housing Group notes that salaries are the starting point and that benefits are available to support employees and their lifestyles. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available. You must also live in England or Wales for the full duration of employment. Clarion Housing Group also states its support for the responsible use of AI during recruitment.

Awards and employer note

This opportunity is being offered by an organisation highlighted as Employer of the Year at the Housing Heroes awards 2025.
