Role overview
The Compliance Manager will lead compliance initiatives, strengthen governance structures, and ensure the organization remains aligned with applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and standards. This position calls for a seasoned professional who can identify risks, drive accountability, and build a compliance-minded culture across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Create, refine, and sustain compliance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Track regulatory updates and translate them into internal actions and controls.
- Carry out compliance risk reviews and propose practical mitigation measures.
- Manage compliance monitoring, periodic reviews, and internal checks across departments.
- Work closely with legal, risk, audit, HR, finance, and operations teams on compliance programs and improvements.
- Examine compliance complaints, policy breaches, and regulatory matters when needed.
- Design and run training and awareness sessions for employees and relevant stakeholders.
- Compile compliance reports, dashboards, and leadership recommendations.
- Assist with internal audits, regulator visits, and external compliance evaluations.
- Encourage ethical behavior, ownership, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Candidate profile
The preferred applicant should bring deep knowledge of compliance frameworks, governance principles, and regulatory requirements. The role is well suited to someone who is analytical, detail-focused, confident working with sensitive information, and comfortable operating independently in a remote setup.
Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or a similar discipline is preferred. Professional credentials such as CRCM, ICA, CCEP, CAMS, CIA, CISA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications are considered a plus. Applicants should have at least 5 years of experience in compliance, governance, risk, audit, legal, or a related area, along with 2 or more years in a leadership or managerial capacity preferred.
