Job Overview
This role entails comprehensive and detailed design of control and instrumentation (C&I) components primarily for power plants and oil & gas facilities. The engineer will utilize practical expertise in Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) engineering to develop technically sound systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design control and instrumentation items in both basic and detailed phases for power and oil & gas plants.
- Apply hands-on experience in DCS and PLC systems engineering.
- Determine appropriate sizing for control valves, flow elements, and thermowells.
- Develop physical designs including Control Room (CCR) layout, installation, and hook-up drawings.
- Prepare loop and logic diagrams to support system operations.
- Collaborate on interface engineering between mechanical and electrical packages.
- Manage procurement processes for field instruments ensuring compliance with project requirements.
- Gain practical experience working with Smart Plant Instrumentation software.
