Role overview
As a Customer Experience Specialist at Tesla, you will shape memorable in-person interactions for both prospective and current owners. You will be one of the first people guests meet in the showroom and one of the last people they interact with at delivery, helping bring the company’s sustainable energy mission to life through a premium customer journey.
This position focuses on guiding customers from initial showroom visit through to vehicle handover, making sure the buying and delivery experience feels informative, smooth, and exciting.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome walk-in visitors quickly and personally, creating a comfortable environment that encourages conversation.
- Ask thoughtful questions to learn about each guest’s background, buying interest, and timing so you can build a tailored customer profile.
- Educate visitors by responding to questions and designing a product experience suited to their interests, including demo drives and Full Self-Driving demonstrations.
- Lead delivery walkthroughs that explain important features and benefits so new owners leave confident and enthusiastic.
- Help maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting guest details, arranging test drives, and spotting strong purchase intent.
- Deliver high-quality service to both current owners and future customers.
- Take on other duties as needed to support the business.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in customer service and/or sales, with a demonstrated record of meeting or surpassing targets.
- A genuine interest in Tesla’s mission and product innovation, along with awareness of EV market trends and local incentives.
- Ability to understand business topics and technical ideas and explain them clearly.
- Dependable team mindset with strong reliability.
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail, plus solid written and verbal skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a retail setting.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- For positions in CA, CO, HI, ID, MD, MS, NV, NC, PA, TN, UT, VA, and DC, a Motor Vehicle Salesperson License issued by the state DMV is required for sales activities.
- For positions in AZ, GA, HI, IA, IN, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, VT, and WA, a notary license is preferred; if notary support is needed, assistance may be provided to obtain one.

Additional information
This is a full-time onsite role based in Sarasota, Florida. The position is centered on customer engagement, education, and delivery support, and may include evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
