Data Analyst

Overview

We are hiring a Data Analyst to join a startup-like team inside a large, data-led organisation in central Bristol. The role offers a fast-paced environment, significant ownership, and the chance to work at the edge of technical problem-solving within a culture focused on innovation.

This position is well suited to someone who enjoys digging into data quality, resolving complex issues, and partnering with both technical specialists and customer-facing teams.

What you'll do

In this role, you will work with Engineering, Delivery, and Customer Success to keep data reliable and fit for purpose. Day to day, you will investigate mismatches, resolve issues, and help build quality assurance practices that can grow with the platform.

• Take full ownership of data quality checks across customer integrations and reporting outputs
• Review operational, financial, and asset-related data to confirm it is accurate and internally consistent
• Trace data issues back to the source and collaborate with Engineering to fix the underlying problem
• Use SQL to analyse data, verify results, and support troubleshooting work
• Create and improve quality controls, monitoring routines, and data assurance frameworks

What we're looking for

We need someone with hands-on experience in data analysis and quality assurance, ideally gained in a SaaS, technology, or enterprise data setting. Strong SQL capability and a methodical approach to investigating data issues are essential.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Analyst
• Confident in writing advanced SQL queries
• Proven experience with data validation, QA, and root cause analysis
• Good understanding of financial data and why accuracy matters

Nice to have

While not mandatory, experience with data integration, ETL workflows, and API-based data movement would be a strong advantage.
