About the Opportunity

This role sits within a rapidly expanding import-export business serving trade flows across the Middle East. The company focuses on cross-border logistics, paperwork control, and compliance for large-volume shipments moving between Asia, Africa, and the Gulf. As a Data Entry Clerk based in the UAE, you will support the operations team by keeping shipment records, customs paperwork, supplier details, and invoice data accurate and organized.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Enter, review, and refresh shipment information, invoices, and customs-related documents in ERP and logistics systems with a high level of accuracy.
  • Cross-check printed documents such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists against digital entries to maintain complete data consistency.
  • Spot mismatches in quantities, HS codes, or pricing, then pass them on to logistics coordinators for correction.
  • Prepare routine daily and weekly summaries for operations and finance teams using Excel, Google Sheets, or in-house dashboards.
  • Keep both digital and physical files well maintained so records remain ready for audits and aligned with UAE customs and GCC trade compliance requirements.
  • Look for ways to reduce repetitive manual work by recommending simple automation ideas or improved templates.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong command of Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Comfort working with ERP systems and logistics platforms.
  • Solid data entry speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to verify documents carefully and notice small inconsistencies.
  • Understanding of shipment paperwork and customs forms.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Arabic language ability is preferred.
  • Experience using the UAE Customs Portal (ICP) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms and trade compliance is preferred.

Benefits and Work Environment

  • On-site position with fixed working hours in a structured, process-oriented setting.
  • Opportunity to develop into logistics coordination or compliance roles through internal training.
  • A team culture that emphasizes accuracy, ownership, and steady improvement.
