What you'll do

• Prepare customer orders across fresh food areas, including sandwiches, rolls, hot food portions, and sliced meats, while following portion-control guidelines.
• Cook, present, and replenish food items throughout the day.
• Keep all fresh food counters looking clean, full, and to the highest standard at all times.
• Share product knowledge, food ideas, recipes, and recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
• Handle customer questions promptly, professionally, and in line with store procedures.
• Work in a way that reflects the Centra brand values: Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, and Community-Based.

Candidate profile

• HACCP training would be an advantage, though it is not essential.
• Strong communication skills are important.
• Previous experience in customer service would be beneficial.
• You should be comfortable working as part of a team in a busy, high-pressure environment and able to manage several tasks at once.
• A genuine interest in food and the ability to engage and inspire shoppers is expected.
