Role overview
As a Department Manager, you will guide and support your team to perform at a high level while helping build an inclusive, collaborative, and entrepreneurial workplace. In this role, you’ll work in line with the company’s values and contribute to both team success and overall business performance.
What you will do
- Steer the team to deliver an excellent customer journey by maintaining strong operational and visual presentation standards, while also actively promoting and selling the product range.
- Own the performance of your department and store area by reviewing sales results, spotting commercial opportunities, setting objectives, and building action plans to improve sales, profit, and stock management.
- Handle workforce planning, shift scheduling, and smooth opening and closing procedures.
- Hire, onboard, and develop team members while encouraging a diverse, supportive, and growth-oriented culture.
- Keep track of current fashion trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to stay commercially competitive.
- Act as a positive representative of both yourself and the brand in every customer interaction.
Who you will work with
You will be part of the store team, which includes Sales Advisors, Department Managers, Store Managers, Visual Merchandisers, Assistant Store Managers, Cash Office Responsible, and Delivery Responsible in larger stores. You will also collaborate with the wider area team across stores to share insights and contribute to shared success. Together, the team helps customers feel confident, express their individuality, and access fashion that is both inspiring and sustainable.
