Role Overview
This position will contribute to the company’s corporate strategy and execution efforts. Working with management, business units, and functional teams, the role helps turn strategic direction into practical initiatives, strengthen organizational capabilities, monitor performance, and support enterprise-wide change.
Key Responsibilities
- Study the market, industry, and competitors at local, regional, and global levels to identify important stakeholders, emerging trends, disruptions, and growth opportunities within the news and media sector.
- Create strategic alternatives that allow the business to respond quickly and effectively to shifts in the operating environment.
- Partner with teams across the organization to align priorities, execute initiatives, meet measurable goals, and ensure business plans are developed and followed.
- Lead corporate development work that supports brand protection and enhancement, stakeholder engagement, capability-building efforts, and change management initiatives.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business or Economics is required; qualifications in Media, Communications, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of work experience in consulting, strategic planning, or business development.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including the capacity to build business cases, assess metrics, and think strategically; experience using data is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders and shaping decisions.
- Proven ability to work across functions and collaborate in a matrix structure, along with the capability to manage change and operate in complex environments.
- Solid commercial understanding; familiarity with media business models such as advertising, subscriptions, platforms, and partnerships is a plus.
- Self-driven, intellectually curious, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-moving environment undergoing transformation.
