Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join the project team in Riyadh. The role is centered on making sure electrical works are carried out in line with project requirements, approved drawings, quality standards, and relevant regulations, while also helping drive better quality across the project.
Key Responsibilities
The engineer will oversee electrical quality control activities across the project lifecycle, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain the documentation needed to support compliance, testing, commissioning, and handover.
Technical Scope
- Check that electrical works follow project specifications, approved procedures, and applicable quality standards.
- Carry out inspections and quality verifications for electrical installations and related activities.
- Examine shop drawings, inspection requests, method statements, and technical submittals for electrical works.
- Work with consultants, subcontractors, and project teams to close out quality-related issues.
- Support testing, commissioning, and final handover of electrical systems.
- Prepare QA/QC reports and keep complete quality records and documentation up to date.
- Track corrective and preventive actions linked to electrical quality findings.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant electrical standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline and have 4 to 8 years of experience in QA/QC for electrical works within construction projects. A strong understanding of electrical systems, inspection methods, quality standards, testing, commissioning, and documentation is required. Familiarity with international standards and electrical compliance requirements is also important. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software is expected. Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership is preferred or required.
