- Organise and deliver training sessions and workshops that build the knowledge, practical skills, and values needed for effective volunteering and leadership.
- Track volunteer progress, provide ongoing support, and create opportunities that encourage personal growth and leadership development.
- Keep programme budgets and SOPs up to date to maintain operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and alignment with approved funding.
- Maintain volunteer databases and records accurately, and prepare timely reports on programme results and volunteer involvement.
- Build cooperative relationships with social service agencies, corporate partners, and community stakeholders to broaden outreach and strengthen youth engagement.
- Create activities and events that recognise, appreciate, and retain volunteers, including appreciation events and feedback channels.
- Carry out other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the reporting officer or Executive Director in support of team and organisational goals.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Community Development, or a related discipline.
- Relevant work experience in the community or social service sector is expected.
- Prior exposure to volunteer management and youth engagement practices is desirable.
- Understanding of programme and project planning within community or social service settings is needed.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office and virtual engagement platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet is required; basic Canva knowledge is an advantage.
- Strong capability in project planning, prioritisation, and time management.
- Good written and spoken communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to solve problems, make decisions, and work well with youths, colleagues, and partners.
- Must be proactive, self-driven, independent, and open to learning and feedback.
- Applicants should be passionate about youth development and community service, and should demonstrate professionalism and responsibility in line with the organisation’s I-DARE values.
Working conditions
Normal office hours are 9am to 6pm. The work setting includes both an air-conditioned office and outdoor locations such as schools and community sites. The role is physically active and involves travelling between programme venues. Saturday work and weekday evening shifts are expected because of programme needs and student availability.
