About the Role
As an Expansion Controller at H&M, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for Leasing, Construction, and Facilities (C&F). You will be responsible for delivering regular reports on capital expenditures, operational expenses, and the performance of expansion initiatives. Your analysis and business case support will be vital in guiding strategic expansion decisions. You will also monitor key performance indicators such as sales, rent, costs, and capital expenditure, identifying emerging trends, potential risks, and opportunities. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of lease, financial, and project data across all systems is paramount. You will collaborate with the Accounting department to reconcile financial data and facilitate timely payments. Maintaining visibility of the project pipeline and overall portfolio performance for stakeholders will be a key responsibility. Additionally, you will train and assist teams in understanding data accuracy, key performance indicators, and system utilization. Cross-functional collaboration with Leasing, Legal, Accounting, and C&F teams is essential to foster alignment and enhance processes.
Who You'll Work With
This role reports to the Expansion Manager and involves close collaboration with the broader Expansion team, as well as key partners in Legal, Finance, Facilities, and Construction departments.
Who You Are

A minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, accounting, or controlling is required, coupled with a solid grasp of accounting principles, financial analysis, and controlling procedures. Proven ability to prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders is essential. The ideal candidate will be an analytical and conceptual thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities, a structured and detail-oriented approach, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. You should be a collaborative team player with excellent communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in Excel, including strong financial modeling skills, is necessary. Resilience, accuracy, and accountability are key attributes, driving clarity and cooperation across teams.
