Role overview
An employer in Picayune, Mississippi is hiring a metal fabricator to support the construction of metal frames and elevator cases. The work is hands-on and involves using a variety of metalworking tools, following safety standards, and keeping the work area neat and orderly.
What you will do
- Build metal frames and cases for elevators.
- Operate equipment and tools including shears, brakes, drills, welding machines, band saws, drill presses, and hand tools.
- Read tape measurements accurately and work to specifications.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and tidy work environment.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a metal fabricator is required.
- Familiarity with common metalworking tools and equipment is necessary.
- Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
- Must be physically capable of working in confined spaces.
- Comfort working at heights is required.
- Heavy lifting is part of the role.
Schedule
The position follows a Monday through Thursday schedule from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
