Job summary
This role is focused on locating outside-plant fiber and coax infrastructure. The position involves identifying both underground and above-ground assets and capturing the required attribute details. The work is independent in nature and requires a strong commitment to safety.

Established in 2000, the company oversees more than 3,500 miles of network and is still growing into new markets each year.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a valid Illinois driver’s license, a clean driving history, and previous experience in utility locating. The role also requires the ability to travel, comfort with basic computer use, and the discipline to work in right-of-way areas while following IDOT safety standards.
Preferred experience
Extra advantage will be given to candidates familiar with coordinate systems and datums, locate-testing tools, Google Earth, KMZ file interpretation and creation, and reading as-builts.
Compensation and benefits
The hourly pay range is $22 to $28. Benefits include 401(k) matching, paid time off, dental coverage, health insurance, life insurance, and vision insurance.
