Role overview

Motorola Solutions is looking for an experienced on-site customer support engineer to join its International Services team in Riyadh. The role plays an important part in delivering mission-critical operations systems by supporting customer applications and company products so that performance and customer outcomes remain strong.

Due to the rapid evolution of IT and communications, and the growing demand for advanced command-and-control software powered by cloud computing, AI, and machine learning, the Services team is expanding. In this position, you will support AMEA customers through field engineering work and receive training and certifications in the required technologies and service-management practices. You will begin by assisting with the design and implementation of management, service, and maintenance solutions for customer networks, with the expectation of eventually handling these responsibilities independently.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with teams across web, mobile, middleware, and other technology layers to solve difficult technical and business issues.
  • Deliver dependable technical and operational assistance for mission-critical IT and radio systems while working within a team and meeting service and operational performance targets.
  • Keep systems performing well and available by following incident handling and performance management processes.
  • Work with Field Services Engineers and Technical Support Operations to maintain SLA commitments.
  • Coordinate the resource calendar so that all Maintenance Agreement deliverables are completed on time.
  • Align with the Local Service Delivery Manager on contract-related work and task allocation.
  • Run regular customer discussions about service availability and overall performance.
  • Handle customer questions and feedback related to specific work items or the broader project scope.
  • Plan and carry out technical activities in line with approved procedures and instructions.
  • Respond to customer issues either directly or through the internal customer interface.
  • Investigate and fix technical problems linked to design.
  • Join both planned and unplanned customer meetings and share updates with the Team Lead and SDM.
  • Ensure customer service obligations are met throughout the Maintenance Agreement cycle and provide technical guidance and advice as needed.

Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering or Science, or more than 4 years of experience in System Management or Field Service work.
  • Experience in one or more of these areas: Broadband PTT, wired or wireless communication systems, IT systems, or networking equipment.
  • Legal permission to work in the country on an indefinite basis; employer-sponsored work permits are not offered.
  • Background in Network/IT, Broadband PTT, or customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional communication style.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic.
  • Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.

This is a full-time experienced position based onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Domestic relocation support is provided. The role does not include referral payment plan benefits.
