Job description

About the Role

Panda Express is looking for an experienced leader to oversee one store location and help drive both team performance and guest satisfaction. The organization emphasizes the growth of its associates through paid leadership training, mentorship, and ongoing support.

What You Will Do

As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a single store. Your role includes recruiting, guiding, and managing associates, keeping the business aligned with financial targets, and making sure guests receive a high-quality experience.

To set you up for success, the company provides an 8-week or longer store leadership training program.

Training and Development

You will receive hands-on paid training along with continuous leadership development opportunities. The role also offers pathways to grow into higher management positions and access to continuing education support and scholarships.

Compensation and Benefits

This position comes with a competitive pay package and the possibility of bonuses. Full-time associates may be eligible for medical, vision, and dental coverage, voluntary short-term disability, cancer income protection, pre-tax dependent care flexible spending, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, bereavement/funeral leave, and a Leave Share Program. Additional perks include free meals during shifts, discounts at theme parks and gyms, community involvement opportunities, associate referral bonuses, and income protection coverage such as disability, life, and AD&D insurance.

Benefit eligibility depends on meeting the company’s requirements and continuing to meet them while employed.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands

The work environment can be fast paced, with hot kitchen areas, steam, food vapors, noise, limited space, and high shelving. The position requires standing for long periods, preparing hot and cold food, using a Chinese cook knife and other kitchen tools, working accurately under pressure, lifting up to 50 lbs., standing up to four hours, and reaching across 36-inch countertops to serve guests. The job also calls for strong verbal communication, adaptability to changing priorities, and the ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations.

Company Background

Founded in Glendale, California, the company is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the country and operates close to 2,800 locations worldwide. Its mission is to create memorable Asian dining experiences while building an organization grounded in family values and positive community impact.

Equal Opportunity and Accommodation

The employer provides equal opportunity and does not discriminate on any legally protected basis, including sex, gender identity or expression, pregnancy-related conditions, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability, age, ancestry, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or veteran status. Reasonable workplace accommodations are available in line with applicable laws. If you need support during the application or interview process, you may request accommodation from the company’s support contact.

Pay Information

The pay range for this position is $28 to $31 per hour. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as work location and experience. Bonus earnings are not guaranteed, and the employer may modify or end bonus programs at any time.
