Job description
Role overview
We are looking for a Finance Assistant with hospitality sector experience who is ready to take on a busy and varied role. This position sits within a fast-moving finance team, so the ideal person should be organised, adaptable, and comfortable handling several tasks across the day.
What you'll do
- Support the day-to-day accounting activities that keep the business running smoothly.
- Handle revenue checks and reconciliations.
- Assist with purchase approvals and management of the creditors ledger.
- Process banking tasks.
- Work on debtor-related activity.
- Help with payroll reconciliation and payroll processing.
- Prepare and process daily and monthly journal entries.
- Work closely with the onsite Assistant Finance Controller and the off-site Cluster Financial Controller.
- Bring prior accounting experience from a hospitality environment wherever possible.
About the hotel
The hotel is located in Liverpool and occupies the historic Central Buildings, a Grade II listed property dating back to 1884. It is a restored boutique hotel with a strong link to the city's heritage, featuring stylishly furnished rooms with unique decor and specially commissioned artwork.
On site, the property includes one restaurant and two bars. One of the bars also features live acoustic performances from some of the city's well-known musicians every Friday and Saturday night.
