Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced finance leader to take charge of the company’s accounting and financial functions. The role calls for strong strategic and technical capability to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and efficient operations. You will oversee planning, reporting, cash flow, and financial analysis to support senior leadership in making informed decisions and driving profitability and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the finance team and supervise day-to-day accounting activity across the department.
• Prepare, review, and approve financial statements and periodic management reports in line with international accounting standards.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Build annual budgets and forecasts, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions where needed.
• Manage cash, liquidity, and cash flow to support business continuity and operational efficiency.
• Track and evaluate purchasing and selling costs related to vehicles, shipping, imports, and exports, with the goal of improving profitability.
• Handle customer and supplier accounts to keep collection and payment processes efficient.
• Ensure full compliance with financial and tax regulations, including UAE VAT requirements.
• Improve internal financial policies, procedures, and controls to reduce risk and strengthen oversight.
• Coordinate with external auditors, government bodies, and financial institutions.
• Prepare advanced financial studies, performance reports, and key performance indicators.
• Advise executive management and contribute to long-term planning and strategy development.
• Lead, coach, and develop the accounting team to raise capability and performance standards.

Required qualifications and experience

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting and financial management, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Hands-on experience in the automotive, auction, shipping, logistics, import, or export sectors.
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and UAE tax regulations.
• Solid background in financial statement preparation, budgeting, financial analysis, and financial planning.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to build effective finance teams.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.

Preferred qualifications

• Professional certifications such as CMA, ACCA, or CPA.
• Experience in multi-branch or multi-business organizations.
• Background in financial transformation and in improving operational systems and procedures.
