Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will contribute to financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and profitability analysis. In this position, you will act as a finance partner to leadership by turning data into practical insights that improve efficiency, support growth, and guide business decisions.
The role calls for strong analytical ability, hands-on experience with budgeting and forecasting, and comfort working with business intelligence tools to transform complex financial data into clear recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and management reports, then review variances and overall performance trends.
- Track revenue, expenses, profitability, and important performance indicators.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial model development.
- Create dashboards and reporting tools that help leaders make informed decisions.
- Evaluate profitability and performance metrics by business unit, segment, or similar grouping.
- Support pricing decisions and other strategic initiatives for management.
- Build and update dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable tools.
- Pull and assess data from financial systems while helping streamline reporting workflows.
- Contribute to special projects tied to growth, process improvement, and operational performance.
- Share analysis and recommendations that help drive efficiency and business expansion.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong capability in analytical work and financial modeling.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Practical experience creating budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in a law firm, healthcare organization, consulting practice, or other professional services setting.
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or financial reporting systems.
- Understanding of profitability analysis and KPI creation.
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or progress toward one of these credentials is considered an advantage.
Work Environment
This is an on-site position based in a professional law firm environment. The pace is fast and the work is deadline-driven.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $90,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on experience.
