Role summary
The General Labourer role is a hands-on production operations position focused on keeping the line running safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the job involves protecting product quality, preventing disruptions, packing and palletizing goods, and supporting food-safety and documentation requirements.
Key duties
- Check products on the production line, remove defective items, and make sure stacking, placement, and pack counts are correct.
- Respond to and safely clear product jams, redirect overflow items, and help maintain steady line movement.
- Build boxes, pack products by hand, place cartons into cases, and prepare finished goods on pallets for shipment.
- Confirm date codes, complete QA records accurately, and follow all food-safety procedures.
- Assist machine operators when needed, keep the work area clean and orderly, and retrieve materials or rework items as required.
Working schedule and pay
This is a permanent full-time night-shift position. The schedule runs Monday to Friday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Overtime may be offered depending on business requirements. The wage is CAD 21.42 per hour, plus a night premium of CAD 1.35 per hour.

Candidate profile
The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to coordinate repetitive tasks with accuracy. Strong teamwork and communication skills are important, along with a solid work ethic and the physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is expected. Basic food-safety awareness is also needed, and prior experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
