Role overview
Aramark Ireland is seeking a dependable, practical General Maintenance Operative for its client site in Oberstown, Lusk. This position plays an important part in keeping the building and surrounding grounds safe, operational, and well maintained. The successful person should be proactive, safety-minded, and comfortable handling a broad mix of maintenance tasks in a busy environment.
Location note
Oberstown, Lusk, Fingal, Ireland. Own transport is essential because public transport access is limited.
Key duties
- Carry out regular site checks and complete repairs needed to keep the facility running properly.
- Work through daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules for building systems and equipment.
- Diagnose issues and fix doors, windows, fittings, fixtures, and small appliances.
- Act quickly on maintenance calls and urgent breakdowns or emergencies.
- Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and in line with company health and safety standards.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Candidate profile
The role suits someone with prior exposure to maintenance or facilities work and a solid grasp of safe working practices. You should be comfortable with physically demanding tasks, have good attention to detail, and be able to solve problems efficiently. The position also calls for flexibility, teamwork, the ability to work on your own when needed, and a commitment to maintaining high health and safety standards. A full, clean driving licence is required, basic IT skills are needed to use the maintenance system, and Garda vetting will apply.
Working pattern
- Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- One week each month: 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- One Saturday each month: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- One Sunday each month: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a premium Sunday rate.
