Job description

Role overview

This is a senior finance leadership opportunity within a rapidly growing international technology business operating across several jurisdictions. The role is centered on protecting the accuracy of financial information, strengthening governance, and elevating the quality of accounting and reporting across the organization. You will bring together deep technical accounting knowledge and broader strategic oversight in a highly distributed, cloud-based environment. As a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you will help shape decisions with timely, reliable, and insightful financial data. The culture is fast-moving, global, collaborative, and focused on rigor, ownership, and ongoing improvement.

Key accountabilities

  • Own the full financial control landscape and ensure the precision, completeness, and reliability of reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, including statutory accounts and management reports.
  • Develop, roll out, and refine accounting policies, internal controls, and governance structures that can support scaled international operations.
  • Monitor balance sheet quality, reconciliations, journal approvals, and close activities to ensure reports are produced on time and in line with applicable requirements.
  • Coordinate external audits and serve as a main contact for auditors, tax offices, and outside professional advisers.
  • Improve finance tools, workflows, and data integrity, including where automation and AI-based solutions can add value.
  • Maintain compliance with changing regulatory obligations across multiple countries and with IFRS.
  • Guide, coach, and grow accounting team members while encouraging accountability, accuracy, and continuous learning.

Required background

  • Significant experience in senior accounting or financial control positions, preferably in a global technology or SaaS setting.
  • A recognized accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent credential, supported by strong academic performance.
  • Strong command of IFRS and financial reporting, including practical exposure to complex multi-entity structures.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite or comparable systems, plus advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial controls, audit management, and governance practices in multinational organizations.
  • A highly analytical, detail-focused approach with a strong emphasis on accuracy, integrity, and structured problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence working with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Background in fast-growth or transformation settings, including involvement in process improvement and systems implementation initiatives.

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive yearly salary based on experience and market levels.
  • Annual bonus opportunity tied to performance, along with regular compensation reviews.
  • Flexible work setup with fully remote or hybrid arrangements depending on location.
  • Annual budget for learning and professional development.
  • Generous paid leave, including holiday and family leave benefits.
  • Home office support and equipment allowance where relevant.
  • Internationally distributed work environment with cross-border exposure and potential travel opportunities.
  • Wellbeing support and employee assistance resources.
