Job description

About the Company

Claritev is a healthcare technology and services organization that helps simplify complex problems across the healthcare landscape. By bringing together data, technology, and specialist services, the company supports payers, providers, and employers in improving outcomes while lowering costs.

Its Professional Services function is central to that mission. The team works closely with clients to implement solutions, enhance performance, and create measurable business value. The focus extends beyond technology rollout to enabling real operational change.

This role also offers the chance to build a long-term career in Professional Services, develop strong healthcare industry expertise, collaborate directly with clients, and progress into leadership while contributing to meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery.

Role Overview

Claritev is hiring a Senior Healthcare IT Program Manager to lead complex, large-scale programs involving EHR deployments such as Oracle Health/Cerner, modernization initiatives, and public health platforms. The position is responsible for coordinating several interconnected workstreams and keeping them aligned with federal and state priorities while producing clear results across technical, clinical, and operational areas.

This is a senior, executive-facing role that involves close collaboration with agency leadership, management of cross-functional teams, and accountability for delivering programs on schedule, within budget, and in line with regulatory obligations.

Scope of the Role

  • Set program direction, establish governance, and manage execution across multiple healthcare IT initiatives.
  • Lead large, cross-functional groups and multi-vendor setups, keeping technical, clinical, and business efforts aligned.
  • Act as the main point of contact for executive stakeholders in federal or state agencies and for internal leadership.
  • Control budgets, timelines, risks, compliance, and major delivery milestones such as design, testing, go-live, and ongoing support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct program planning, governance, budgeting, and execution across connected projects.
  • Lead program managers and team leads while coordinating work across vendors and stakeholders.
  • Track risks, deadlines, dependencies, and major release milestones.
  • Maintain compliance, prepare reporting, support contract delivery, and drive continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 10–15+ years of experience in healthcare IT, program management, consulting, or government settings.
  • Proven experience managing large programs with multiple workstreams and leading teams.
  • Hands-on exposure to EHR platforms such as Cerner/Oracle Health, Epic, or similar systems.
  • Experience working in federal or state healthcare environments, including VA, DoD, CMS, Medicaid, or public health.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification is required or strongly preferred; PgMP is an added advantage.
  • Prior leadership on Cerner/Oracle Health EHR programs.
  • Understanding of federal contracting and multi-vendor operating models.
  • Experience using Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches in healthcare environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced program governance and delivery management.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare IT systems and workflows.
  • Budget oversight, risk control, and cross-functional leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role is USD 120,000 to USD 150,000. Final offers depend on education, experience, skills, work location, and internal equity. The position also includes health insurance, a 401(k), and bonus opportunity.

Claritev provides a competitive benefits package, incentive bonus program, recognition and awards, a supportive work culture, flexible schedules when possible, and access to live and online professional development and education programs.

  • Medical coverage, including PPO and HDHP options, plus dental and vision
  • Pre-tax FSA and HSA accounts
  • Life and disability insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • Paid time off accrued based on years of service
  • For Washington candidates, PTO accrues at 4.61 hours every other week during the first two years, then increases with tenure
  • 10 paid company holidays
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Employee assistance program
  • Sick leave for eligible employees at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours per calendar year, unless state law provides a more generous benefit
