Role Overview

Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) is looking for a Hostess to join its F&B Airport Services team and support operations in its premium airport lounges in Dubai. The position is focused on creating a welcoming, polished guest journey through attentive service, smooth seating coordination, and close teamwork with lounge staff. Core Purpose of the Job

The main objective of the role is to deliver a consistently high-quality guest experience by greeting visitors warmly, managing seating efficiently, responding knowledgeably to questions, and working closely with the wider team to keep lounge service running smoothly.

Key Duties

• Receive guests, direct them to appropriate seating, and help create a comfortable and welcoming lounge atmosphere.
• Share details about food and beverage choices, especially buffet items, while coordinating with servers, chefs, and managers to support orderly seating and smooth service.
• Track guest comments and pass timely updates to the Supervisor on Duty to support service improvements and better guest satisfaction.
• Collect daily VIP and invitation-only guest lists from EK reception and quickly inform the Supervisor on Duty and Chef on Duty so the team is prepared for expected arrivals.
• Keep detailed notes on VIP and invitation-only guest preferences and visit history to support more personalized service in future visits.
• Work with the Supervisor on Duty to ensure that required tools and equipment are available in the assigned area for efficient operations.
• Handle daily wine and store receipt records, file all documents correctly, and alert the Assistant F&B Manager about any shortages, differences, or non-receivable items from the store.
• Support smooth shift handover by taking over unfinished items from the previous shift, completing pending tasks, preparing shift reports, and storing them properly along with stock-related information.
• Keep the lounge clean, orderly, and hygienic at all times in line with QHSE and hygiene requirements.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, or a similar qualification, is required. Candidates should also bring at least 5 years of hostess experience in hospitality, preferably in upscale hotels or restaurants, along with a solid understanding of food safety rules and hygiene practices.

Skills and Language Requirements

• Clear verbal communication and strong people skills for interacting with guests from varied backgrounds.
• English fluency is essential; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple priorities in a busy environment.
• Strong teamwork skills for working effectively with waiters, supervisors, chefs, and airline clients.
• Careful attention to detail for documentation, stock handling, and procedure compliance.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within a fast-paced airport lounge setting.
