Job Summary

The Housekeeper performs essential cleaning duties to maintain a clean and orderly environment in healthcare facilities. This role involves tasks such as making beds, changing linens, cleaning rooms and common areas, and general upkeep to ensure a high standard of hygiene and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service with a focus on individual guest needs.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and polishing.
  • Clean carpets, rugs, and draperies through vacuuming and shampooing.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and metal surfaces.
  • Empty and sanitize trash receptacles, disposing of waste appropriately.
  • Clean and sanitize wash basins, mirrors, bathtubs, and showers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of glass surfaces.
  • Prepare rooms by making beds and changing linens as needed.
  • Arrange furniture and amenities according to established layouts.
  • Address guest inquiries and fulfill requests promptly.
  • Respond to immediate housekeeping needs, such as cleaning spills or broken items.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned to support the department's operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping is required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning duties.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to pass a Level 2 background screening if required for the position (e.g., for certain Florida positions).
