Role Overview
The Housekeeper will help keep guest rooms and shared hotel areas spotless, well stocked, and ready to meet hotel standards. This role is central to maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for guests.
Key Duties
- Clean and service guest bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and common areas in line with hotel procedures.
- Replace bedding and towels, and restock guest toiletries and other amenities.
- Make sure rooms are fully prepared and checked before guests arrive.
- Flag repair needs, damage, and any lost property to the relevant team.
- Observe all hygiene, safety, and cleanliness rules throughout the shift.
- Handle guest requests courteously and quickly whenever support is needed.
- Keep cleaning tools and housekeeping supplies in proper working order.
- Coordinate with fellow housekeeping staff to maintain consistent service quality and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Prior work in housekeeping, room attendant duties, or hotel cleaning is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
- Strong focus on detail and a genuine commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to manage tasks alone as well as in a team setting.
- Good organization and time-management abilities.
- Physical fitness to carry out cleaning work, including standing for long periods and lifting when needed.
- Basic spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Dependable, positive, and willing to work with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Availability for shift work, including weekends and public holidays, when required.
