About the Opportunity

This position is centered on keeping shipyard work areas, access routes, and common spaces clean, orderly, and safe. The cleaner will help uphold housekeeping standards across operational zones, with a particular focus on maintaining clear walkways, stairwells, high-traffic production spaces, and exterior areas. Regular use of push sweepers and brooms is a key part of the role, especially for handling large industrial floors and open yard spaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular sweeping of walkways, stairwells, hardstand areas, and access routes throughout the shipyard.
• Use and look after industrial push sweepers and brooms to clear debris from active work zones.
• Keep access paths free from trip risks, dust, and loose materials.
• Complete cleaning rounds in line with the site’s expected housekeeping standards.
• Ensure cleaning equipment remains serviceable and raise any defects or breakdowns with supervisors.
• Assist with other general housekeeping duties when needed.

Requirements

• Construction Industry White Card.
• Eligibility to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
