About Local Infusion

Local Infusion is growing quickly across the United States, with a goal of reshaping specialty infusion care through a combination of patient-focused service and proprietary AI-powered technology. Its model is designed to streamline access, reduce administrative burden, and improve results for patients, clinicians, health plans, health systems, employers, and pharmaceutical partners.

The organization aims to give clinicians more time with patients by cutting down on paperwork and supporting every part of the care journey. The team emphasizes comfort, connection, and a strong support system for patients and care teams alike.

Role Overview

Local Infusion is hiring an IT Director to lead the company’s IT direction, infrastructure, and day-to-day operational preparedness during a period of rapid national expansion. A major part of the role is managing the outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) partnership and ensuring smooth IT rollout and support for a large number of future ambulatory infusion center sites.

This position will act as the internal owner for IT operations, center launch coordination, HIPAA and security compliance, and enterprise IT processes. It is a highly collaborative role that works closely with teams in Operations, Finance, People, Clinical, Revenue Cycle, and with external vendors to build scalable, secure technology systems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee the company’s outsourced MSP relationship, including service quality, prioritization, escalations, and longer-term improvements.
  • Drive IT readiness for new infusion center launches by coordinating timelines, vendors, infrastructure setup, and go-live support.
  • Own enterprise IT workflows and operational processes handled through Rippling and other internal tools.
  • Create repeatable IT standards and scalable processes that can support fast growth across multiple states.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, cybersecurity requirements, patient safety expectations, and healthcare IT security standards.
  • Act as the main owner for IT security, access control, endpoint oversight, and incident response coordination.
  • Maintain IT governance and security documentation, policies, and control structures.
  • Support diligence work and integration efforts tied to acquisitions and expansion into new markets.

Requirements

  • At least 5–7+ years of experience in IT management or infrastructure-focused roles.
  • Direct experience overseeing third-party MSP partners and outsourced IT environments.
  • Experience supporting operations across multiple locations or in fast-scaling organizations.
  • Strong project coordination and planning skills, with the ability to manage several center launches at the same time.
  • Working understanding of HIPAA, healthcare IT security, cybersecurity best practices, and compliance frameworks.
  • Comfort operating independently in a lean environment with very limited internal IT staffing.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operational and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Background supporting ambulatory care, infusion, physician practice, or other multi-site healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management, endpoint management, and cloud-based IT environments.
  • Experience using Rippling or comparable HRIS/IT management platforms.

Work Culture

Local Infusion describes itself as a respectful, energetic, remote-first organization centered on improving specialty infusion care. The company values ambition, but also encourages employees to protect time for family, friends, and personal interests.

Benefits for Full-Time Employees

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage through the employer plan.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • 15 days of PTO, with encouragement to use it.
  • Competitive paid parental leave and a flexible return-to-work policy.
  • Access to professional development opportunities to support career growth.
