Role overview

The IT Supervisor will oversee the organization’s day-to-day technology environment across branches, factories, warehouses, showrooms, and the headquarters in Riyadh. This role covers infrastructure, user support, security, data protection, vendor coordination, and the smooth operation of critical business systems.

Core technology and infrastructure duties

Manage the setup and configuration of MS Dynamics, routers, 4G modems, switches, IP cameras, biometric scanners, CPUs, printers/copiers, barcode scanners at POS locations, and similar equipment used across operating sites.

Take ownership of servers, storage, switches, environment monitoring tools, UPS units, and datacenter monitoring activities.

Oversee hardware and software virtualization, including virtual storage area networks (VSANs), and monitor system health, cluster health, heartbeat status, and malware or virus alerts on a daily basis.

Ensure effective backup processes for virtual servers, physical servers, SQL databases, Exchange mail databases, and other server data, using both online and offline backup methods.

Handle domain registration, domain hosting, and SSL certificate management.

Security, access, and network management

Administer endpoint protection using antivirus and anti-malware tools, and control gateway security through firewalls, content filtering, anti-virus controls, DPI-SSL enforcement, and ATP capture features.

Set up and maintain system access controls, security permissions, and operational protocols for multi-user networks that support voice, data, and text communication.

Monitor systems to keep performance at an optimal level and respond quickly to any failures or recovery requirements.

Manage patching, upgrades, and updates for licensed software and platforms such as desktop and laptop operating systems, server operating systems, Office 365, SQL, Exchange, VMware, and Veeam.

Operations, support, and coordination

Coordinate the integration of IT operations, hardware, operating systems, communications tools, software applications, and data processing workflows.

Plan priorities for system development, maintenance, and operations, while also managing scheduled and urgent maintenance for the company’s IT assets.

Provide testing for new equipment and systems before deployment.

Prepare technical reports, system cost estimates, and cost-benefit analyses.

Liaise with hardware, software, and communications vendors, and track warranty terms, maintenance contracts, recurring service renewals, and warranty renewals.

Review and approve recurring payments related to internet connectivity, data services, service renewals, and warranty renewals.

Distribute and coordinate work assignments with the IT Support Technician and ensure IT services remain available to meet business needs without interruption.

CCTV, biometric, and site support

Assess technical requirements before purchasing surveillance cameras, supervise installation, and confirm that each device is correctly registered and operational in the system.

Maintain the readiness, performance, and upkeep of security cameras across all branches, headquarters, and project locations.

Monitor fingerprint devices at all company sites and branches to ensure reliable performance.

Visit showrooms on a regular schedule to check technical requirements related to computers, cameras, fingerprint devices, insurance computers, and STC Pay systems.
