Role Overview

Sundus is hiring an Operations Manager / Operations Officer in Al Dhahran, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a direct-hire, on-site role for someone with an architectural background who can help drive interior fit-out, finishing, and construction work from planning through delivery.

What the Role Involves

  • Steering day-to-day operations across several fit-out and finishing projects.
  • Monitoring schedules, progress updates, and on-site activity to keep work on track.
  • Supporting the planning of labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor schedules.
  • Liaising with architects, engineers, consultants, suppliers, clients, and management.
  • Checking drawings, specifications, and related project files to confirm execution needs.
  • Keeping an eye on procurement status, delivery timelines, and material requirements.
  • Preparing and updating project records, reports, and meeting notes.
  • Tracking milestones and escalating any delays, blockers, or delivery risks.
  • Making sure work follows quality standards and internal procedures.
  • Helping project managers meet scope, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Coordinating inspections, approvals, and handover activities.
  • Maintaining strong communication between site and office teams for smooth workflow.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant should have a degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline, along with 2 to 5 years of experience in fit-out, interior finishing, construction, or project coordination. A solid grasp of architectural drawings and construction details is essential. Experience in commercial, office, retail, hospitality, or industrial fit-out projects is preferred. The role also calls for strong skills in coordination, organization, communication, and the ability to manage several tasks under pressure.

Technical Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required. Familiarity with project management software is considered an added advantage. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with interior fit-out projects, finishing works, joinery coordination, MEP coordination, site execution, procurement coordination, and subcontractor management.
