Job description

Role Overview

This position is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and focuses on keeping the company’s network and IT environment reliable, secure, and well supported.

Core Duties

  • Install, service, repair, and replace network equipment such as routers, switches, servers, and telecom devices.
  • Deliver technical assistance for network operating systems and software, with attention to connectivity, protection, and performance issues.
  • Set up, administer, and support network security tools including firewalls and endpoint protection solutions to help safeguard the network.
  • Diagnose and fix network problems such as outages, slow response times, and incorrect configurations.
  • Keep network diagrams, technical records, and asset registers current, including information related to user accounts, hardware, and software distribution.
  • Carry out routine network checks and physical stock reviews of IT assets so records remain accurate.
  • Assist with network integration and functional testing to make sure systems perform well across different environments.
  • Maintain an orderly, clean, and secure network setup, including safe and well-kept equipment areas and server rooms.
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and security of company data and documents at all times.
  • Work closely with the IT team to follow network policies and procedures and contribute to broader IT goals and strategy.
  • Follow applicable safety, environmental, and operational requirements for network and IT systems.

Required Background and Skills

The role calls for a high school diploma, while a bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least two years of experience supporting computer users with IT customer support in an office setting is required. Professional certifications such as CCNA or Network+ are strongly preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working with people from different levels and cultures, be able to think independently and analytically, and work well as part of a team. Adaptability in a fast-changing technical environment is also an advantage. Strong spoken and written English communication skills are required.
