About AL TAIF

AL TAIF is a major maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider in the UAE, supporting the full lifecycle of land platforms, heavy utility vehicles, and ground support equipment used by the UAE Armed Forces. The organisation’s goal is to keep land-based systems, warfighters, and related personnel mission-ready and operating at top performance.

Role Overview

This position sits within the Documentation Section and combines document control, technical library support, and published content production. The role focuses on keeping controlled documents accurate, traceable, secure, well-archived, and aligned with organisational and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help lead and improve document control and technical library workflows, making sure they match business and contract requirements.
  • Track documents through drafting, review, approval, version updates, and retention, including customer concurrence forms where approvals are required.
  • Keep an organised physical archive of approved policies, manuals, procedures, work instructions, and forms.
  • Revise company documents whenever management-of-change requests are raised, and archive those requests properly.
  • Support document production and publishing tasks, including visual design and formatting that follow company brand standards.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects for design and editing work.
  • Build polished and interactive presentations using advanced PowerPoint features.
  • Apply strong layout, composition, and typography principles to improve communication quality.
  • Produce and edit vector and raster graphics for different communication channels.
  • Integrate images, video, and animation into creative material and presentations to support storytelling.
  • Create charts, graphs, and infographics that are clear, informative, and visually engaging.
  • Carry out image enhancement tasks such as retouching, colour correction, and compositing.
  • Complete basic video editing and motion graphics work when needed.
  • Ensure all outputs are suitable for both print and digital publishing.
  • Handle design requests from internal and external stakeholders, including printing and binding of training materials, certificates, and promotional items.
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of company documentation at all times.
  • Understand the approved risk framework and contribute actively to the risk management programme.
  • Spot and escalate risks linked to documentation and technical manual processes.
  • Assist wider quality team members and take on additional tasks assigned by the Assistant Manager, Documentation.

Experience and Education

  • A high school diploma is mandatory; a bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
  • Five to six years of experience in a relevant field is required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, and Project.
  • Advanced capability in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, or equivalent certification.
  • Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both alone and as part of a team.
  • Well-developed documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and complete written material.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • A valid UAE driving licence is required, or the ability to obtain one.
