Role overview

This position is for a janitor supporting an educational facility in Bentonville, Arkansas. The job is open for both full-time and part-time schedules, and hiring is available immediately. There are also openings at other locations within the school district.

Schedule

The role is scheduled for Monday through Friday, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Full-time and part-time options are available, with flexibility to fit most scheduling needs. More details will be shared during the interview.

What the job involves

The janitor will keep the building clean, orderly, and safe by carrying out heavy cleaning tasks and maintaining assigned areas to a high standard.

• Remove trash and dispose of it according to approved procedures and infection-control guidelines.
• Dust and damp-mop floors using the proper methods.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning, then return everything to its proper place.
• Clean assigned spaces using the provided materials and equipment, including sanitizing surfaces and following the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to maintain a safe, tidy environment for students, visitors, and staff.
• Look for areas that need attention and take initiative to complete cleaning tasks.
• Carry out duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Work in line with all federal, state, and county requirements.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors, and shampoo carpets when needed.
• Work cooperatively with the team and maintain professionalism with customers, coworkers, and others.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience and requirements

Previous janitorial experience is preferred, but it is not mandatory. Candidates should be able to perform the essential duties of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
