Job description
Role overview
Brady Corporation is hiring a Jr. Data Analyst to support the operational side of sales compensation and data management. This position sits at the center of commission processing, quota administration, and data integrity checks, while also assisting with reporting and analytics workflows. It is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers, data quality, and business systems, and who wants to deepen skills in SQL, Tableau, and revenue operations.
Core duties
The role focuses primarily on commissions and quota administration, plus broader data stewardship and junior analytics support.
- Run monthly and quarterly commission calculations for the global sales organization in line with compensation plan rules.
- Check Point of Sale and booking data so sales credit is assigned to the right territory and representative.
- Act as the main contact for commission questions, investigate discrepancies, and resolve shadow accounting issues.
- Keep quota records, territory updates, and new-hire details current in the compensation platform.
- Audit sales data for duplicates, missing values, and hierarchy issues so the analytics team works from reliable inputs.
- Support data governance by making sure CRM records follow required business rules, including accurate close dates and stages before month-end.
- Maintain master data such as product catalogs, pricing tables, and user hierarchy structures across sales systems.
- Refresh and circulate recurring weekly and monthly sales reports and dashboards.
- Assist analysts with dataset pulls and Excel-based what-if exercises for territory planning.
- Keep documentation current for commission procedures and data definitions.
Skills and qualifications
The ideal candidate is highly comfortable in Excel, works well with large datasets, and has enough logic and numerical confidence to handle compensation and reporting tasks accurately. Familiarity with a CRM such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is important. Exposure to SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is helpful, though not mandatory, as training can be provided for the right person.
Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required. The company is looking for someone with 1 to 3 years of experience in data entry, finance, compensation, revenue operations, or sales operations.
