Role overview

The Billing & Payments Finance team is hiring a Junior Data Analyst who can work independently on data analysis, create useful insights, and take ownership of resolving inconsistencies by working directly with external partners.

What you will do

  • Work with SQL and spreadsheets to examine complex financial datasets and support day-to-day billing activities, especially transaction matching and payment reconciliation.
  • Compare data across multiple systems, spot mismatches, and help close gaps by coordinating directly with external partners.
  • Build and keep reports and dashboards up to date so stakeholders can interpret the information and use it for decisions.
  • Convert technical analysis into clear business takeaways for both technical colleagues and finance stakeholders without a technical background.

What we are looking for

  • Good working knowledge of SQL for extracting and querying data independently.
  • Strong command of Excel and Google Sheets for analysis, cleaning, and reporting work.
  • Basic familiarity with a programming language such as Python or R.
  • Openness to learning modern data platforms such as Databricks.
  • Helpful finance knowledge, especially around accounts receivable, payment reconciliation, and handling open items.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with a focus on accuracy and data-driven judgment.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate well with both technical and non-technical teams.

What’s in it for you

  • The chance to help shape an ambitious international company during an early growth stage and become a key contributor.
  • A role in a young, ambitious, and friendly team that values learning and skill development.
  • Room to work independently, including flexible working hours.
  • Opportunities to develop your abilities, grow your career, and take on more responsibility over time.

About the opportunity

This position is based in Berlin and is offered as an onsite full-time role. The company highlights a dynamic environment, flat hierarchy, and close collaboration across teams and entities as part of its overall work style.
