Job description

Role Overview

This opportunity is for an early-career data consultant to join a leading healthcare informatics specialist that delivers complex cloud data migration work for major platforms. The position focuses on moving important legacy information into modern healthcare archive and electronic patient record (EPR) environments.

The role is fully remote and is open only to citizens of the UK or Ireland, as visa sponsorship and work permit support are not available now or in the future. The employer is looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of commercial experience who wants to build deeper expertise in data migration, ETL, and healthcare systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the extraction, transformation, and loading of data, and help keep migration scripts up to date.
  • Check migrated records carefully, test outputs, and help identify, investigate, and fix data inconsistencies.
  • Work with project managers, technical specialists, and clinical stakeholders to understand data needs and project goals.
  • Keep migration documentation accurate and current, and share progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile

The ideal applicant has a background in a data-focused, technical, or analytical role, along with a strong interest in building practical skills in scripting and data migration tools. A degree in Computer Science, IT, Health Informatics, or a similar discipline is preferred.

Requirements and Eligibility

  • 1 to 2 years of commercial experience in a data, technical, or analytical environment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics, or an equivalent subject.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and a solid understanding of database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Interest in learning scripting languages such as T-SQL or Python and in developing capability with advanced migration tools.
  • Must be a UK or Irish citizen, as sponsorship or work permit assistance is not offered.
  • Ability to work independently from home and travel occasionally for in-person meetings or client site visits.

Training and Benefits

  • Access to structured onboarding, mentorship, and clear development pathways.
  • Competitive benefits package including private medical or health insurance.
  • Income protection cover and death-in-service or life assurance support.
  • Holiday buy-and-sell scheme.
