Job description
Role summary
StafinGo is recruiting a Junior Project Manager for an onsite assignment in Toronto, Ontario. This contract runs from July 6, 2026 through March 31, 2027, with work expected in the office five days each week. The engagement is for a public sector healthcare client.
Project context
The assignment supports the broader expansion of the Digital Health Drug Repository (DHDR). The goal is to improve how clinicians access more complete medication and pharmacy-service information for their patients. The expanded repository will bring in dispensed medication data from pharmacy management systems and hospitals, including records for medicines that were publicly funded, paid out of pocket, or covered by private insurers. By bringing this information together, the initiative is intended to strengthen medication management within Ontario’s digital health tools, improve patient safety, and make transitions of care more efficient.
What the role involves
The Junior Project Manager will help onboard sites into the DHDR repository and support smooth, timely deployments. The role includes handling issues, risks, and service change requests, along with tracking deployment progress and supporting clients through the implementation process.
Deliverables
- Engagement and coordination with sites and clients
- Client relationship and account-style management for assigned sites
- Contract administration for participating sites
- Training sessions for sites, whether virtual or in person, plus troubleshooting support
- Project go-live planning for each clinical site
- Management of project risks and issues
- Documentation for service management plus warranty support after deployment
- Reporting on deployment status and tracking progress
Experience and qualifications
Candidates should bring solid project management experience in electronic health-related environments, along with working knowledge of healthcare information systems, pharmacy management systems, or hospital information systems. The role also calls for proven communication ability, both verbal and written, as well as strong stakeholder engagement skills. Experience maintaining documents with standards, version control, and organized storage is also required. Familiarity with core project management principles such as scope, goals, planning, participant roles, risk management, and quality control is important. The successful candidate must also be able to work under pressure, manage several priorities at once, and meet tight deadlines.
Tools and additional requirements
Hands-on experience with project management software such as MS Project and MS Teams is expected. Knowledge of the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge is considered an asset. A college or university undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a closely related field is preferred, although equivalent experience may also be acceptable.
Additional notes
This position is open to applicants whose experience fully matches the stated requirements. The compensation offered for this contract is $65 to $75 per hour, depending on experience. The employer also notes that AI is not being used in the application or recruitment process for this role.
