Job Description

As a Kitchen Steward, you will be an integral part of our culinary team, dedicated to upholding a pristine, safe, and highly organized kitchen environment essential for seamless service delivery. Collaborating closely with our chefs and kitchen staff, and with the flexibility to work evening shifts, you will significantly contribute to the daily operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness standards throughout all kitchen and food & beverage service areas.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations.
  • Follow all established procedures for food handling and sanitation.
  • Provide support for basic kitchen preparations and ensure the readiness of mise en place.
  • Assist the wider kitchen team and support chefs during active service periods.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of kitchen operations within a busy resort setting.

Your efforts will directly enhance the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our guests across the resort and Convention Centre.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Proficiency in time management and the ability to effectively multitask.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication capabilities.
  • A positive and adaptable approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possession of a current driver's licence.
  • Prior kitchen experience is advantageous but not a mandatory requirement.
  • Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
