Opportunity
An international renewable energy developer is hiring a Land Manager to help expand its onshore wind development pipeline in Germany. This position suits someone with a background in land acquisition, business development, real estate, or renewable energy who has 2 to 4 years of experience and enjoys relationship-building as well as spotting new project prospects.
Role overview
In this position, you will help secure future development sites by finding, assessing, and negotiating land arrangements for upcoming onshore wind projects.
Key responsibilities
- Source and secure appropriate land for new onshore wind projects.
- Develop and nurture strong working relationships with landowners, municipalities, and other local partners.
- Handle negotiations for land agreements, lease arrangements, and option contracts.
- Assist with early-stage site review and project viability checks.
- Collaborate with development, permitting, and technical colleagues.
- Track market movements and identify regional development opportunities.
- Support the expansion of the company’s renewable energy portfolio across Germany.
Requirements
- 2 to 4 years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, renewable energy, project development, infrastructure, or a similar area.
- Prior exposure to the wind industry is helpful but not mandatory.
- Strong ability to negotiate and manage stakeholder relationships.
- A commercially oriented mindset and a proactive approach to finding opportunities.
- Fluency in German and professional-level English.
- Prepared to travel within Germany when needed.
- Located in Berlin, Leipzig, or the nearby region.
