Overview
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Laundry Worker for a long-term care setting in Spencer, West Virginia. In this role, you will help keep linens and garments clean, organized, and available so residents and staff can rely on a well-maintained environment. Responsibilities
- Gather, separate, wash, dry, press/fold, and deliver linens and residents’ clothing.
- Use laundry machines and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep logs or records related to laundry work and inform a supervisor about repairs, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
- Apply infection-prevention practices and universal precautions to support a clean and sanitary setting.
- Communicate respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors while providing strong customer service.
- Handle other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Prior laundry experience is an advantage, though it is not mandatory.
- Ability to maintain a positive approach and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership while completing daily work.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work around cleaning chemicals and products.
- Should be able to follow spoken and written directions and perform repetitive routine tasks each day.
- Residence within the service area is required.
